This traffic calming measure is ineffective as vehicles simply speed through it.  When the drivers lose control, they mount the pavement.

Dear [.....],

I have serious concerns about the Road Safety of Bow Common. There has been 5 recent car crashes at the site of the chicane. In August'22 a speeding car on this road crashed into the main entrance of a residential building. The potential loss of life from speeding vehicles is very real.

Please can you implement speed humps or other effective traffic calming measures as soon as possible.
